#FeedingVermontTogether is a grassroots movement built on the simple belief that no Vermonter should go hungry, no matter what’s happening in Washington.
As many of our neighbors lose access to SNAP benefits during the government shutdown, we’re asking individuals, businesses, and community groups to step up in whatever ways they can — donating food, giving funds, sharing meals, or supporting local organizations like the Vermont Foodbank.
Every act of care counts, and when we share those efforts using #FeedingVermontTogether, we remind others that Vermont takes care of its own.
Together, we can turn compassion into action and make sure everyone in our state has enough to eat.

What you can do
There are so many ways to help feed our neighbors while they’re without SNAP benefits. Every effort, big or small, makes a real difference. Here are a few ideas to get you and your business started
Donate
• Give money directly to the Vermont Foodbank or your local food shelf to keep shelves stocked and meals moving.
• Businesses can donate a percentage of sales or collect food items from customers.
• Share what you can spare from your pantry or harvest with a neighbor in need.
Spread the Word
• Inspire others to contribute what they can. By sharing what we’re doing, we can make this a movement to make sure that no Vermonter goes hungry.
• Encourage your team or coworkers to join in by pooling donations orA volunteering together.
• Use #FeedingVermontTogether to share your efforts on social media.
• Share what is happening with the media. Give them the tools they need to report on it and spread the word further.
When we share our time, resources, and creativity, we remind each other that Vermonters take care of each other.
